Biography

Amber’s educational journey led her to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Southern Indiana, followed by her pursuit of a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Indiana University. With a diverse professional background, she has contributed her expertise in various settings, including hospitals, individual therapy, and home-based interventions, addressing both mental health and addiction issues. Amber’s scope of experience covers a wide age range, from working with young children to individuals aged 99+ young!

Amber’s core belief centers on the inherent capacity for healing and personal growth in every individual. She employs a holistic approach, drawing from a combination of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to empower others in achieving their therapeutic objectives. Amber has also received specialized training in trauma-informed treatment and providing affirming care to the LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, she possesses a profound understanding of working with personality disorders, mood disorders, and attachment disorders.

Outside her professional role, Amber cherishes quality time spent with her family, friends, and her beloved poodles.
