Tina Cherry is a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with extensive education and experience in nursing. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in June 2018 and her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Walden University in February 2023. Tina holds several certifications, including the ANCC Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Across the Life Span) Certification, Non-violent Crisis Intervention, BLS and First Aid from the American Heart Association, ACLS, Certified Brain and Dementia Training, and Deaf Crisis Services.

Tina's professional experience includes working as a full-time PMHNP-BC at Georgia Regional Hospital in Adult Mental Health since July 2023, where she is responsible for medication management, care planning, quality improvement, and patient outcome evaluations. Prior to this, she served as a Charge Nurse in the Behavior Health Unit at Stephens County Hospital from January 2022 to February 2023 and as a Staff Nurse in Adult Mental Health at Georgia Regional Hospital from March 2021 to January 2022. Tina also worked part-time as a Charge Nurse at the Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit at Viewpoint from May 2020 to March 2021 and as a Charge Nurse at Arrendale State Prison from January 2020 to March 2020.As a student, Tina completed 355 hours at Global Mentality Mental Health Clinic and 423 hours at Virtual Consult MD, where she assessed, diagnosed, and treated various mental health conditions and provided medication management and psychotherapy.

Tina is committed to community service and has volunteered with the Atlanta Mission, where she launched an initiative to collect and sell gently used furniture and household items for Habitat for Humanity, and served as a Mental Health Advisor at High Praise Worship Center. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurse Association since March 2020 and the American Nurses Association since September 2016.
