Bio

Michelle Craig is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She studied Psychology at the University of Evansville and Social Work at University of Southern Indiana. Michelle began her therapeutic career working in a hospital setting and developed skills in crisis intervention related to mental health or substance abuse issues. For the last two years, Michelle has been conducting the Mental Wellness group at Brentwood Springs, with a primary focus on trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and Borderline Personality Disorder. Michelle is competent with a number of diagnoses and has also worked with individuals who have co occurring disorders as well. Michelle feels that a good therapeutic relationship and meeting the client where he/she is at creates an atmosphere that is supportive, comfortable, and will help the client to improve their overall current situation.

Michelle utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and mindfulness, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma informed care, and motivational interviewing to assist clients with a variety of diagnosis. Michelle utilizes these techniques with individuals from the age of 18 and older. She has also started her doctorial studies and began her studies with an interest in geriatric disorders such as Alzheimer.

In her free time, Michelle enjoys running, listening to music, taking care of the chickens, and spending time with her family. Michelle is an avid believer in that we create our own future and wants to work with individuals in helping them to create of future of hope.
