Biography

Adria Thornburgh, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who treats patients across the lifespan. She attended graduate school at Indiana Wesleyan University, where she earned her Master’s of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and graduated with an honors GPA of 3.96.

Adria has been a practicing registered nurse since 2005 and has a diverse and multifaceted background with clinical experience in various settings to include Emergency, Obstetrics/Maternal-Child, Infusion/IV Team, Homecare, Behavioral Health, and Case Management. Additionally, Adria has experience within the healthcare technology industry as a clinical nurse educator, specialist, and consultant. While Adria’s background is varied, she has always had a passion for psychology, psychiatry, and mental health. Adria is also passionate about utilizing technology in ways that can improve individuals’ lives and the health of the overall population, particularly those in underserved areas.

I believe the scope of telepsychiatry is broad, and I think there will be continued growth, innovation, and further ways in which it can be uniquely utilized in the future to help bring mental health services to all.”

Adria treats children ages 6 and up, adolescents, and adults. Her treatment approach is patient-centered, holistic, and integrative with a focus on the underlying roots of an issue or problem. Treatment includes initial evaluations, medication management, brief supportive psychotherapeutic interventions, and ongoing follow-ups with strong collaboration with physicians and therapists.
