Dr. Amar Anand is a neurologist specializing in chronic pain management, headache, concussion and neuroimaging. He spent his childhood in Walnut Creek and surrounding areas in the East Bay, attended St. Mary’s College of California and St. George’s University for his premedical training, ultimately receiving his medical degree from St. George’s University.
Subsequently, he completed his neurology residency training at the University of South Carolina/Palmetto Health. Since completing residency, he has pursued multiple avenues of further subspecialty training. He completed a Neuroimaging Fellowship at the Dent Neurologic Institute in Buffalo, New York and simultaneously underwent training in Headache and Concussion medicine.
Currently, Dr. Anand is undergoing fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management. He is also the Neurology Director of Virtual Consult MD, where he remotely cares for neurologic patients in underserved areas throughout the midwest. In addition to his vast interests and passions, Dr. Anand takes the most pride in being able to return home to join East Bay Neurology and use his training to serve his community.
